Supporting older people in
North Down & Ards

AGEnda provides free, confidential services for people aged 65 and over, helping older people remain independent, connected and supported in their communities.

Who we support

AGEnda supports older people aged 65+ in Ards and North Down. Referrals can be made by individuals, family members, carers, or other services.

After referral, a team member will arrange a call to discuss support.

We offer practical, person-centred services designed to support independence and wellbeing.

Good Morning Call

A friendly, reassuring phone call each weekday morning from trained volunteers, providing peace of mind for older people and their families.

  • Weekday calls Monday to Friday morning service
  • Volunteer-led Trained, compassionate volunteers
  • Peace of mind Independence with support
24-hour answering machine available for messages outside call times

Floating Support

Personalised support to help older people stay connected to their community, access services, and maintain independence at home.

  • Reduce isolation Build social connections
  • Community connection Link to local activities and resources
  • Signposting Navigate available services
Support available for up to two years based on individual needs

Carers’ Support

Supporting carers and older people through practical help, social connection and person-centred support.

  • One-to-one support Personalised home visits and planning
  • Social groups Small, supportive circles to connect with others
  • Activities & events Helping reduce loneliness and isolation
